Red stag hunt
|

|
This year the big game hunting season has started with great
results. Even though Argentina has experienced the worst drought
in 50 years, it seems it has not affected the feeding of many
of the animals. The quality of the trophies is really very
good, they are healthy and with very good antlers.
The first group that arrived this year -organized together
with Rick Kennerknecht- was Jim and Vannie Collins,
from McAllen, Texas-USA. After a nice charter flight from
Buenos Aires, Jim and Vannie together with Nico Catena arrived
at the lodge, located 375 miles west from Buenos Aires city.
The staff was waiting for them and right after landing, the
cook was expecting them with a great lunch, excellent to recover
the energy and depart immediately to field to take a first
view and get ready for the next 5 days hunt. After working
hard with the professional guides, finally both hunters
got a Silver Medal Red Stag trophy. I´m sure they will
never forget this trip, both trophies are really nice!
Jim and Vannie: hope to see you again next 2010 hunting season.

Trip of a lifetime.
Our good friend Alexander Kennedy, from London-UK,
has organized a truly 'trip of a lifetime' for his friends.
After staying a couple of days in the nice neighborhood of
Puerto Madero in the heart of Buenos Aires city, they departed
to San Javier area -considered the best place in Argentina
for duck hunting- to hunt for ducks in the rice fields. Everybody
shoot the limit: 50 ducks per day per hunter!!! Two hunts
were enough, so the group moved to the other side of the Parana
river, to one of the best lodges in Argentina where they made
high volume dove shooting (Note: one of the hunters
shot 47 boxes in only half a day hunt). As the weather is
so pleasant in this area during March, some of them decided
to enjoy the pool and some of them went fishing for freshwater
Dorado. Back to Buenos Aires on a charter flight, they departed
on March 21st to Rio Gallegos. They booked a fly fishing
weekly program for Sea trout in one of the most challenging
and beautiful rivers of Patagonia. Nice fish, lot of fun
and red wine!
Alex, my friend... hope you and your party enjoyed this 'lifetime
trip'.

Bryan Mullet party -organized together with Dick Kennerknecht-
arrived in Argentina on March 22nd. All of them from WI, USA.
After an excellent dove hunt in Córdoba, they took a charter
flight and arrived in San Javier area, for their first Argentina
duck hunting trip. I have to tell you it is not easy to organize
12-person logistics for duck hunting, but we did it. Divided
in groups of two hunters per blind we departed every morning
and evening to shoot in the rice fields. Result: 822 ducks
in only 4 outings!
Staying in a comfortable lodge, the group enjoyed the swimming
pool every day, while having dozens of cold beer. If this
isn´t enough, think about the 2-pound beef, medium red cooked
in the barbecue with wood!
This nice party of friends really enjoyed the trip
laughing and joking all the time, together with an excellent
hunt.

Big Game hunt in Argentina

Santiago Junco from Mexico DF, has returned this year. It
was his third visit to Argentina booking with us. This
year it was a 4-day short visit but with enough time to enjoy
a red stag hunt in La Pampa. He had a great time and promised
to come back next 2010 season. We will be waiting for you
Santiago!
Together with our Mexican friend, Jack and Darrell Henry
decided to make their first "hunting safari" to Argentina
organized togehter with Tony Ruggeri. A nice present from
Jack to his father Darrell in honor to his last working day!
Isn´t this a lovely son?
I don´t want to write too much, just to mention the trophies:
red stag, blackbuck antelope, axis deer, fallow deer, muflon,
water buffalo...and let the pictures speak. Oh! a last minute
surprise: they made one outing for high volume doveshooting.
